  • ContiSportContact™ 5 takes first place in automotive club and AutoBild tyre tests
  • AutoBild also awarded the ContiCrossContact™ UHP top spot in its 4x4 test

Continental's latest product offerings continue to impress industry experts in Europe, with two of its tyres scoring top marks in recent well-regarded tyre tests.

The ContiSportContact™ 5 and the ContiCrossContactTM UHP have both claimed top spot on podiums in 2013, recording impressive overall marks, particularly in the areas of braking, steering, handling, rolling resistance and safety.

The tests were independently conducted by a variety of publications in various locations across Europe, using numerous test cars and a range of conditions.

Automotive clubs across Europe are particularly impressed with the ContiSportContact 5, which is suitable for sporty cars and SUVs with sporty driving characteristics, declaring it equal winner earlier this year in their summer tyre tests.

They named the ContiSportContact™ 5 a "well balanced tyre" and awarded it the best rating on wet surfaces out of the 19 tyres tested.

AutoBild sportscars also cannot get enough of the ContiSportContact™ 5, awarding it first place in its summer tyre test, making special mention of its "exemplary handling properties" and "perfect steering precision".

AutoBild Allrad is also a fan of the ContiCrossContact™ UHP, perfect for high-performance four-wheel drive vehicles, taking top spot in its 4x4 test and being highly recommended by the publication.

AutoBild acknowledged the ContiCrossContact™ UHP's impressive stopping distances on both wet and dry surfaces as well as its "precise handling" and "off road performance".

Continental is one of the top four tyre manufacturers in the world, with its products fitted as original equipment on one in every three European built cars.

Its highly acclaimed range provides the benefits of an extensive product offering which combines excellent braking, maximum grip and low rolling resistance tyres, all with high safety properties.
